Israeli Company Hired by State Government to Spy on Pennsylvanians
« September 19, 2010, 01:53:37 PM »
The surprise disImage captured from ITRR's websiteclosure that the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, through its state Homeland Security Agency, along with a number of local police departments in the state, have been employing a private Israeli security company with strong links to Mossad and the Israeli Defense Force to spy on law-abiding citizens, grows increasingly disturbing when the website of the company, called the Institute of Terrorism Research and Response, is examined.

Image captured from ITRR's website

ITRR’s slick site at TerrorResponse.org features a homepage image of an armor-clad soldier or riot policeman preparing to fire an automatic pistol, while the company boasts of being “the preeminent Isreal/American security firm, providing training, intelligence and education for clients across the globe.”

The firm, which offers courses locally at the University of Philadelphia, notes that all its course offerings, some of which are taught in Israel, are “approved by the Israeli Ministry of Defense.”

Press Statement 15 September 2010
The mission of the Institute of Terrorism Research and Response is to identify and analyze
information that can be leveraged to prevent injury, loss of life and destruction of property.
At times, that means providing guidance on the potential for deadly actions. At other times, it
means providing security personnel guidance regarding staff requirements for crowd control.
For example, in May 2010 ITRR's Targeted Actionable Monitoring Center (TAM-C) informed
clients of "focused anti-gay chatter among White supremacists and extremist militia supporters."
We noted that "Gay pride" events recently served as trigger events for such radicals, such as in
Belarus and Slovakia.
Thus, the ITRR briefing concluded, "based on general analysis and international case study
debriefing, TAM-C analysts recommend a somewhat heightened situational awareness at all such
pride events."
Similarly, in January 2010, ITRR researchers identified "explicit calls for sabotage of major
facilities and murder" in "European eco-extremist and anti-capitalist communications." In a
separate client document, we further identified an "increasing overlap between anarchists and
environmental extremists - with anarchist communications often praising acts of overt ecoterrorism."
We also expressed concern that such European extremist views were finding echoes
in North America.
By April 2010, a leading ideologue for the Earth First! organization issued a call for more
extreme actions in the service of the environmentalist agenda. "Are we so caught up in a cycle
of civil disobedience that we can’t think past it?" he asked.
ITRR's analysis of the above communications said:
"TAM-C recommends that security personnel responsible for mass transit,
telecommunications, ports, fuel stations, coal plants, and other facilities that have
been targeted by environmentalist protests in the past take immediate action to
heighten situational awareness of pre-adversarial surveillance. Additionally,
emergency response and evacuation procedures should be reviewed. ...TAM-C
analysts recommend personal situational awareness and appropriate safety
measures...."
Then, in July 2010 the Houston home of an oil company executive was targeted in a bombing,
causing significant facial injuries to a woman who opened a booby-trapped package. In
subsequent research by ITRR, it was found that anti-capitalist and environmental militants
expressed satisfaction with the attack; such as, "Until we destroy enough of their property to
make a financial splash or start killing their executives and decision makers and profiteers,
nothing will change."

seems to me like companies like this are exploiting the the flaws in public safety by governments and creating a need for themselves by exagerating the need for their services. All at the expense of tax payer dollars.
