The hacker community known as Anonymous has issued a communiqué and declared an operation against Bashar al Assad and the Syrian regime. The cutting of internet by Syrian authorities and the massive repression, including the abduction of known blogger such as Amina, the gay girl in Damascus has angered the community of hackers.
The operation that one can follow on the Twitter's hashtag #opSyria comprises shutting down government websites, preserving videos of demonstrations via torrent files, raising media awareness etc.
