As of Sunday the U.S. may stop exporting pork and beef to Russia. This was reported by the American Federation of meat export.
According to its spokesman, the step is linked with Moscow' demand that imported from the U. S. pork and beef not contain the feed additive ractopamine. This additive is a growth promoter, used to promote leanness in animals. The drug is banned in Russia due to risk of negative effects on humans.
